Armstrong Auto Group Supports Base Services Alongside Toowoomba Mountaineers
In recent weeks, the community of Toowoomba has come together to support Base Services after their facility was broken into and significant damages were caused. Among those showing their support were the Toowoomba Mountaineers, a local basketball team, who donated $3,500 to help rectify the damages caused by the break-in.
The break-in at Base Services saw their cold room damaged and food stolen, which put a significant strain on the organization's ability to provide much-needed support to people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and disadvantage in the Toowoomba region. The Toowoomba Mountaineers, who are proud supporters of Base Services, saw the post by Armstrong Auto Group about the break-in on social media and knew they had to take action.
In early May, Armstrong Auto Group and the Toowoomba Mountaineers presented a $3,500 check to Base Services at the Armstrong Auto Group dealership. The donation will go a long way in helping Base Services repair the damages caused by the break-in and continue providing essential services to those in need in the Toowoomba region.
In addition to their donation, the Toowoomba Mountaineers have also set up a GoFundMe page to further support Base Services and help rectify the damages caused by the break-in. The support shown by the Mountaineers, Armstrong Auto Group, and the wider Toowoomba community is a testament to the power of coming together to support those in need.
